3rd Annual STAR 99.9 Ladies Golf Tournament
Star 99.9 will sponsor the 3rd Annual Ladies Golf Tournament on Thursday, September 20th at the Great River Golf Club, located at 130 Coram Lane in Milford . Registration and breakfast begin at 8 am and the tournament tees-off at 9 am. Star 99.9 is sponsoring this event for the third year in a row to benefit the SWIM's many breast cancer programs.

In addition to a morning of golf, there will be hole-in-one contests, closest to the pin contests, raffle prizes, and a fantastic luncheon to wrap up the day.

The event is open to all lady golfers, foursomes, pairs, etc. Individuals will be paired by handicap (if applicable) The cost of the event is $125 per golfer and includes breakfast, lunch, 9 holes of golf, use of a golf cart and a goodie bag. Space is very limited!

Breast cancer is the second most common form of cancer among women in the U.S., and the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women. While the 1980s saw a sharp rise in the number of new cases of breast cancer, that number now appears to have stabilized. The drop in the death rate from breast cancer is probably due to the fact that more women are having mammograms.
