Take Some Twists and Turns in a Corn Maze and Help Support the SWIM Plasko’s Farm, located at 670 Daniels Farm Road in Trumbull is once again ploughing ahead with their annual corn maze. For every trip through the corn maze, Plasko’s Farm donates $1.00 of the admission price to the SWIM’s cancer support, prevention, education and screening programs. The corn maze at Plasko’s Farm is believed to be the first of its kind in Fairfield County and attracts more than 10,000 visitors each year. This year, the maze theme is “Crop Circles,” and it has been cut into an alien shape. The maze has been cut into four acres of 10 foot tall corn stalks resulting in over a mile and a half of twists and turns.
The Maze is open to the general public on Fridays from 3pm to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm (last maze ticket is sold at 5pm). The Maze is reserved on weekdays for groups of ten or more people. Group rates are offered to schools, businesses or organizations who would like to visit the maze as part of an agricultural program. | Breast cancer is the second most common form of cancer among women in the U.S., and the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women. While the 1980s saw a sharp rise in the number of new cases of breast cancer, that number now appears to have stabilized. The drop in the death rate from breast cancer is probably due to the fact that more women are having mammograms. |
